Dr. Mark Harrison

Dr. Mark Harrison
Dr. Mark Harrison recently rejoined the SMART Laboratory staff working with Prof. Jeremy Roberts and Prof. Douglas McGregor. He brings with him years of experience from various institutions. Dr. Harrison worked at the University of Florida for two years as an assistant professor. Upon receiving a prestigious Weinberg Fellowship from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), he took up residence in Oak Ridge and worked in detector development for five years. Dr. Harrison then moved to Argonne National Laboratory and served as the Director of the Radiation Detection Group, where he also worked to archive literature and radiation detector developments throughout the years. Upon returning to Kansas State University, Dr. Harrison is assisting with designs for the Idaho National Laboratory Hodoscope instrument that is attached to the TREAT reactor. He is also taking charge of the Kansas State Micro-Analysis Laboratory (KSMAL).
