Radiation Detection Instruction Laboratory
Return to Equipment Listing

The Radiation Detection Instruction Laboratory (RDIL) is used to train students and staff on common radiation detection equipment. There are four stations, each equipped with gas-filled, scintillation and semiconductor detectors with supporting Nuclear Instrument Modules (NIMs) and NIM bins. Students learn with "hands-on" experience how the to properly operate radiation detectors and analyze data.
