Project Description

The neutron sensitive Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) is under development by Dr. Ron Berliner of Instrumentation Associates. In order to accomplish the set task, special neutron reactive films must be applied to the device, which is where the S.M.A.R.T. Laboratory comes in. Having the equipment and experience in this particular area, the S.M.A.R.T. Laboratory has been contracted by Dr. Berliner to develop a method to apply films to the GEM device.
