S.M.A.R.T. Laboratory
Radiation Detector & Dosimeter Calibration Room

The radiation detector and dosimeter calibration room is used to characterize detectors developed in the SMART Laboratory and calibrate radiation dosimeters used by the SMART Laboratory and TRIGA Nuclear Reactor staff. The Compton scatter coincidence system is used to measure light yield as a function of energy from experimental scintillators grown in the SMART Laboratory. The NIST calibrated panoramic irradiator is located in room 2 Ward Hall, and is used to calibrate personal dosimeters.
