S.M.A.R.T. Laboratory
Room 003 Ward - Material Preparation and Crystal Growth Laboratory III

The crystal growth laboratory in Room 1B Ward Hall is used to purify and synthesize CdZnTe and LaBr3 materials. It is also used to grow ingots of the scintillator LaBr3 and perform post-growth annealing on CdZnTe ingots. These materials are used to construct room temperature operated gamma ray spectrometers.
